How to get AYUDA from SSS (SBWS) Program

SBWS (Small Business Wage Subsidy)  a program launched by the government where Social Security System will provide wage subsidy to qualified employees from small business amounting between 5,000.00 - 8,000.00. This subsidy shall be given up to two months so that the affected small businesses can retain their employees during the quarantine period.

Guidelines for application:


How much is the subsidy?


The total aid of this program amounts to Php 51 billion. The SSS shall provide a subsidy between 5,000.00 - 8,000.00


Who are qualified?


- Must be an employee of a qualified small business

- Must be employed as of March 1, 2020 and won't be able to work due to ECQ
- Can be any of these status (regular, probationary, project based, fixed-term)
- Did not paid by its employer due to temporary closure in accordance with Labor Advisory No. 1 series of 2020.

Who are NOT qualified?

- Employees that is part of skeletal workforce or WFH.

- Recipient of SSS unemployment benefits
- On-leave during the entire ECQ with or without pay.

Who will submit the wage subsidy application?


The employers shall process and submit the application on behalf of their employees.


Deadline of application.


Only the applications from April 16-30, 2020 shall be accepted.
