Calamity Loan - How to apply?

SSS Calamity Loan is useful after after a typhoon, flood, fire or any natural disaster. An income that you've lost, cars that need repairs, houses that requires improvement and even a hungry stomach.

Who can apply for a calamity loan:

Any member that qualifies for the following requirements:

  • Home address or property declared as under state of calamity.
  • Has 36 months of contribution.
  • Has not availed SSS Calamity loan assistance or SSS Restructuring program.
  • Does not availed death, disability and retirement benefits.
How to apply for SSS Calamity Loan?

You can apply in three months after the issuance of SSS circular assistance in the affected areas. 
OFW can assign someone who can apply on their behalf, given the additional requirement below.
  • Authorization Letter
  • Copies of OFW's valid ID's and original ID of the authorized representative.

SSS Online : Members Contribution Inquiry

Online Inquiry on SSS - this is a service by Philippines Social Security System that gives information about SSS Membership, SSS Contribution, SSS Loans and others.

You can visit the link --> www.sss.gov.ph so you can register for online access and check your account anytime. After registration, they will provide you log-in and password, from there you can easily monitor your account.

SSS Maternity Benefits

This is post is intended to pregnant woman members of Social Security System.

In order to avail maternity benefits in SSS, of course you must be pregnant, if your employed, you should inform the HR department of the company you are in, they will be the one to inform the organization about your status. It's better to inform the company of your situation right away. The earlier the better. The HR will be the one to process your papers with SSS inorder to avail the said benefit.

Just incase that you are not employed and you're into voluntary payment. You must personally visit the branch so the branch can inform you of  the correct documents and process  to avail maternity benefits.
